"Starting tonight through the COVID-19 battle, our signature white lights will be replaced by the heartbeat of America with a white and red siren in the mast for heroic emergency workers on the front line of the fight", the Empire State Building tweeted on its official account. "So how can so few people have died?" he said to Radio Free Asia ( RFA ). Another resident in the area named Mao said, "Maybe the authorities are gradually releasing the real figures, intentionally or unintentionally, so that people will gradually come to accept the reality", and added that most people in Wuhan believe that 40,000 could the actual death ... The area threatened by the fire in Sichuan province is sparsely populated, but there was no estimate of how many people were leaving the evacuation zone. It said drones would be used to monitor the fire's progress. Along with fighting the flames and moving residents, those forces have also been sent to protect important industrial infrastructure from the blaze. (more...)

New Brunswick's public health officials announced a jump of 15 new cases on Sunday. There were 23 deaths linked to COVID-19 in the province as of Monday morning, but later in the afternoon, health officials confirmed 10 more fatalities. The number of deaths remained unchanged at 22. They received a delivery of masks from a Chinese manufacturer on March 21, the health ministry said in a statement . The masks failed more than one inspection. The Netherlands was not the only country to raise concerns over faulty supplies from China. Prior to this, the Spanish government last week announced it would send back the rapid test kits it imported from a company in China after tests revealed only 30% detection rate. (more...)

In a Facebook post , the safer Buxton police team said, "This is undoubtedly due to the scenic location and the good weather (for once) in Buxton". Seeing the number of people visiting the place despite the lockdown, the government was forced the officers to pour black water dye into the honey pot pool to make the water look less attractive. The governent has pledged £75 million to help United Kingdom nationals overseas by using a travel company to charter rescue flights when there are no other routes available.
