The spread of the COVID-19 continues to put significant strain on Spain's health system, with more than 1,100 people fighting the disease in intensive care. Authorities also said they were acquiring more medical equipment, including 700 ventilators. The doctors noted that the healthcare system can not leave non-priority patients unprotected and so will "offer healthcare alternatives of quality that meet the basic needs of the people and their families".(ANSAmed). According to the provincial update , one of the new cases has been hospitalized. According to CTV , provincial health officials say almost 4,000 residents are now under investigation for the virus. The two that got it through close contact are both men in their 40s and both are believed to be self-isolating. Overall, Ontario saw a rise in COVID-19 cases from 257 to 308 on Friday. (more...)

The two close-contact patients are both men in their 40s, whereas the travel-related case was a man ins his 80s. All of the patients are now in self-isolation.
