Utah natural disaster disrupts state's coronavirus response

The Weber School District announced shortly after that all of its schools would be closed Wednesday and lunch was canceled while potential natural disaster damage was assessed. It could reportedly be felt in northern Utah , as well as parts of Idaho and Wyoming. Utah Transit Authority reported that due to damage spotted on the line between Salt Lake Central and Murray, trains will be halted and unable to proceed between these two stations until further notice. Mr Morrison said it was the first time in the nation's history that this mandate had been issued. Australia has banned "non-essential" gatherings of more than 100 people in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The restrictions on indoor gatherings do not apply to workplaces, public transport, supermarkets, shops and shopping malls. "All people coming to Australia will be required, will be required, I stress, to self isolate for 14 days", Morrison said on Sunday. (more...)

Most of the 100,000 real Dead Sea Scroll fragments are displayed at the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book . Finance Minister Rod Phillips says it's important to introduce a financial plan for the province that is as current as possible, given the dynamic situation around COVID-19. That's a smaller increase than the 43 new cases announced in the province Sunday morning. The money will pay for 75 more critical care beds and 500 new post-acute care beds. (more...)
