Poland's Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz has said that, contrary to claims by Moscow , the Russian and Belarusian war games pose a "real danger" and that "nearly 100,000 soldiers have been mobilised for these exercises". The Zapad 2017 military exercise is held on the border with Poland, Lithuania and Belarus . The Zapad exercise is held every four years in rotation with drills in other parts of Russian Federation. Moreland councillor Sue Bolton said now the wider Australian society was aware of negative history of the date, celebrating Australia Day on January 26 would be "grossly insensitive" to Australia's first people. Another council in Melbourne has ditched Australia Day celebrations, labelling the annual commemoration as offensive and inappropriate. A rarely seen, strange-looking sea creature that washed up on a Texas beach in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has been identified as a type of eel, reports said on Thursday (Sep 14). The fangtooth eel, sometimes known as the "tusky eel", lives in the West Atlantic Ocean at depths of 60 to 90 metres. "It might be Bathyuroconger vicinus or Xenomystax congroides", he said. (more...)

By 7:15, the TBI announced Russell Roysden had been found safe in Morgan County. Russell was described as a 3-month old with blue eyes and blonde hair. Wednesday, September 13.
