More than 40 tonnes of aid has arrived in the region, including 2,608 shelter kits which can provide cover for more than 13,000 people, the UK's Foreign Office said. The Dutch military are using the runway, which was inundated by high tides during the hurricane , to ferry in aid supplies but say it's not yet open to civilian flights as there are no runway lights or air traffic control. Earlier in the day, Katia was slightly nearer to the Mexican coast, and at about 10 p.m. CDT (0300 GMT) was moving east-southeast at around 2 miles per hour (4 kph), the centre said. Jose is located to the east of Hurricane Irma, which is a powerful and risky storm heading toward Antigua and perhaps the United States. In preparation for the storms, particularly the very risky Hurricane Irma , several corporate entities, such as, the Ritz Carlton and American Airlines , have taken precautionary measures.
