The USS Wasp was the first Navy ship to arrive in the US Virgin Islands and is providing medium and heavy lift helicopters to transport people and supplies, the service said in a statement. Both ships were assigned to the Navy's 7th Fleet, which has headquarters in Yokosuka , Japan, and includes between 50 and 70 ships at a time.
