Savannah had the largest number of customers affected, some 83,000, according to Georgia Power. Columbus had nearly 34,000 customers with outages, while Macon had more than 60,000. As Irma continues to hammer the Southeast, our weather remains rather nice to start the work week. According to the National Weather Service , Jacksonville is under a flash flood watch until Monday morning. But, it will likely only be in the form of light rain and wind gusts that probably won't make it to 30 miles per hour. New rainfall amounts between 2 and 3 inches possible. (more...)
