The killing marked the first murder of a sitting mob boss in NY since the December 1985 hit on Gambino boss Paul "Big Paul" Castellano, who lived in the same neighborhood where Cali was shot. Comello's Facebook page said he once attended Tottenville High School on Staten Island. When asked about the suspect's arrest record, Shea said he "crossed paths in some limited circumstances with the NYPD", including getting a parking ticket on Staten Island the day Cali was killed. Rocket fire toward Israel's southern communities near the Gaza Strip is common, but Tel Aviv is rarely targeted. Residents have little desire for another war with Israel . UFCW Local 400 President Mark P. Federici says he expects the decision will mean that Sanders' campaign workers have pay parity and transparency, as well as no gender bias and harassment. If a majority of workers sign them, the union presents those cards to the employer so that the employer will recognize the union. The next step is for the campaign and the union to begin negotiations over a collective bargaining agreement, the union said. (more...)

Trump did state his belief that Varadkar is now in a "complicated position" due to Brexit and stated his belief that the European Union has treated the USA "very unfairly" over the years. The most concerning element for Ireland, Varadkar said, is that Brexit should not cause any problems in Northern Ireland, which voted to stay in the EU. (more...)
