The Camp Fire, which broke out a week ago in the drought-affected Sierra Foothills 280 kilometres north of San Francisco, has left at least 63 people dead. The sheriff has asked relatives of the missing to submit DNA samples to help identify the dead. By Thursday, Camp Fire, which has destroyed about 9,700 homes and scorched 141,000 acres in Northern California, was 40 per cent contained. (more...)

Agra , Mathura and Vrindavan were worst affected by monkeys who frequently attack tourists and pilgrims. Currently, there are over 25,000 monkeys in the city, according to municipal corporation officials. "They snatch eatables from passers-by or troop into homes, open fridges and steal food items". He said monkeys are becoming increasingly aggressive as they have been displaced from their natural habitats. (more...)

According to WCAU , a source familiar with the case said Mark D'Amico and Kate McClure conspired with a homeless man from Philadelphia, Johnny Bobbitt, to make up a story that would raise more than $400,000. Bobbitt lived for a short time on the couple's property in a camper purchased for him but later was told to leave and became homeless again.
