Tremors felt across Lancashire after 4.7 magnitude quake hits WalesIt was felt in north east Lincolnshire, north Lincolnshire and Hull, the BGS added. Many people went on social media to ask what it was they had just felt. It comes almost a decade after a 5.2-magnitude natural disaster in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, which was felt widely across England and Wales. (more...)

Support for outright Basque independence has fallen over the years. It was organised by the Guru Esku Dago (In Our Own Hands) group as a peaceful call to the Spanish government to allow a vote on independence. The courts have since detained politicians involved in the independence drive based on the constitutional clause that Spain is indivisible as a country. (more...)

A fire broke out in a Baghdad warehouse where ballot boxes from Iraq's parliamentary election last month were stored, local officials said. State television said the ballot boxes were being moved to another location under heavy security. Juburi has similarly denounced alleged fraud in Amman, where he ran an intense campaign and only won a mere 19 votes.
