Traffic stops leads troopers to multi-million dollar drug bust

The drugs have an estimated value of $3.7 million. A 27-year-old North Carolina woman driving the truck was arrested and charged with drug possession and drug trafficking. The patrol says a drug-sniffing dog was brought in and indicated there were drugs in the truck. Both are first-degree felonies. If convicted, she could be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison and fined $40,000. (more...)

Round Rock Police Find $2 Million Worth of Methamphetamine in Gas Tank

Round Rock police say the officer was conducting a routine traffic stop when they got conflicting stories from people in the auto. A K-9 unit was called in and a dog quickly alerted officers to the presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle found 71 pounds of methamphetamine in the gas tank, worth almost $2 million. We checked the Williamson County Jail inmate roster, and Fields was still in the jail as of 2 PM Thursday, May 10 in lieu of $70,000 bond. (more...)

While US President Donald Trump announced that his country would pull out of the deal, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany have said that they would stay compliant with the nuclear accord. The minister stressed that Europe and France wanted to "defend their economic interests", since a number of French enterprises , including Total, Renault, and Sanofi, were based in Iran and could, therefore, be affected by the U.S. (more...)

A ferocious storm was recorded in Campbell Island, one of the wild southern ocean. He won an award earlier this year at Big Wave Awards in California Koxa for breaking the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed. "It's very probable that larger waves topping 25 meters occurred during the peak of the storm while the buoy was not recording", Durrant said. Volusia County deputies say the man was naked, and ran through the airport, into a restricted area. The sheriff's office says one person was taken into custody. It was not immediately clear whether Greenwood was flying anywhere. He has not been charged but will face federal crimes, the sheriff said. Airport spokesman Jay Cassens confirmed with Spectrum News 13 that travelers were outside of the airport for an hour and a half. (more...)
