The launches coincide with joint exercises between the US and South Korean militaries, exercises that North Korea always strongly protests because it considers them preparation for an invasion. The launch is believed to be a response to joint U.S. Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the projectiles fired from the North's eastern coast flew about 155 miles, though it did not mention any failures. Sources informed on Monday that the NAB has chose to file an appeal in the Lahore High Court against the Rawalpindi accountability court's decision to acquit Zardari in a case related to the illegal accumulation of assets. Benazir Bhutto and her husband were accused of taking a 6% bribe on the revenue stream the Swiss company expected on the $131 million contract. The Supreme Court, in its verdict in the NRO case on December 2009, had ordered the revival of cases closed under the ordinance. (more...)
