Unclassified UFO findings to reveal United States intel community can't explain aerial objects

Former US President Barack Obama said there really are UFO sightings that the government can't explain

According to the stimulus bill signed by Donald Trump, the report must contain a "detailed analysis of unidentified aerial phenomena data and intelligence" collected by U.S. intel agencies as well as the DoD unit known as the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, which was created previous year to detect and analyse sightings of mysterious flying objects.

The calls intensified in 2017, when The New York Times released a report that included testimonies from multiple United States military pilots who claimed to have seen UFOs. But the report does state that the sightings were not crafts or technology that originated from the USA military or other government organizations. "That determination would appear to eliminate the possibility that Navy pilots who reported seeing unexplained aircraft might have encountered programs the government meant to keep secret".

The Times reports that one of the briefed officials said there was concern in the intelligence and military communities that China or Russian Federation may be experimenting with hypersonic technology.

Ryan Graves, a former US Navy pilot, told CBS's 60 Minutes last month that he was among the military aviators who spotted "unidentified vessels" flying off the coast of Virginia every day for two years, starting in 2019.

Former US President Barack Obama said that if the Pentagon dossier confirms the existence of extraterrestrial life, it would challenge belief systems across the globe.

While UFO experts have applauded recent moves by the U.S. government to share more information about unknown aerial encounters reported over the last several decades, many remain sceptical that the upcoming report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and other agencies will provide a comprehensive look at the issue. Some of the incidents were videotaped, including one taken by a plane's camera in early 2015 that shows an object zooming over the ocean waves as pilots question what they are watching. The Pentagon has been given 180 days to compile the report, which some officials say is not enough to provide a detailed insight into the issue.

The task force's mission was to "detect, analyze and catalog" sightings of odd objects in the sky that could pose a threat to national security. But government officials said they also wanted to remove the stigma for service members who report UFO sightings in the hope that more would be encouraged to speak up if they saw something. "We're good at manufacturing arguments for each other", Obama said.

The former president recently spoke on the upcoming report, saying the government has videos of objects that officials struggle to explain.

Other leaked US Navy footage from between 2004 and 2015, long the subject of UFO-watchers' fascination, was officially released by the Pentagon in April past year.

The report studies that incident, including the video that accompanied the interaction. The provenance of the object is still unknown, the officials said.
