There are now 2,051 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C., and of the 203 people in hospital, 57 are in intensive care.

State health officials on Monday reported 262 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths since Saturday.

Gustafson says 74 per cent of adults in B.C. and 72 per cent of British Columbians aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The number of people battling COVID-19 in hospital increased slightly on Tuesday to 203, with 57 patients in intensive care. Yesterday, 377 new cases confirmed in Ireland, while Northern Ireland reported 54 cases and no deaths.

There have been 12 new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 1,722 deaths in British Columbia. Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix will return for a live briefing Thursday afternoon.

Of all cases identified so far, some 141,879 - or 97 per cent - have recovered.
