Nurses prepare and give Moderna vaccinations to patients in this file

Nearly 14 per cent of adults in B.C. are now fully vaccinated (613,453) as second dosing ramps up (with 115,521 second doses administered over the past three days). In total, 4,165,142 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in BC, 710,847 of which are second doses.

Wednesday's update continued B.C.'s trend of decreasing case numbers, leaving the province's rolling weekly average at 119 per day.

That makes the totals 59,394 positive cases and 804 deaths of Kane County residents since the pandemic began.

There are two new Covid-19 cases at the border and none in the community, Dr Ashley Bloomfield says.

It also recorded four COVID-19-related deaths for a total of 1,738 fatalities.

"British Columbia has some of the highest levels of immunization for Dose 1 in the world - something we can be incredibly proud of - and we have the ability to push that even higher", said Henry and Dix.

There have been 492,345 vaccine doses administered in Kane County to date.

"Getting fully immunized is the best way for us to put the COVID-19 pandemic behind us".

The province is still giving out first doses as well, including to youths between the ages of 12 and 17.
