Ontario's active COVID-19 caseload is now 8,368, down from 13,371 last week.

A total of 20,84,421 tests were done on Friday, taking the cumulative tests conducted so far for the detection of COVID-19 in the country to 36,11,74,142. There has been a steady continuous increase in the national recovery rate with 93.38% reported today.
As of Saturday evening, 9,992,575 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered, including 158,393 doses given Saturday.
Meanwhile, recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for 23 successive days, as India witnessed 1,97,894 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said. The weekly positivity rate now stands at 6.89% while the daily positivity rate further diped to 5.78%, less than 10% for 12 consecutive days.
India registered 1,20,529 COVID-19 cases which took the total cases in the country to 2,86,94,879.
