Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expecting 2nd child

Last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they'd be stepping away from their royal duties.

A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother".

In May of 2019, the couple welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Meghan and Harry announced their pregnancy news with a stunning black-and-white photo that was taken remotely via iPad by their friend and longtime photographer, Misan Harriman.

The couple shared a black and white picture of themselves under a tree, with Harry resting his hand on Meghan's head as she cradles her bump.

The Duchess of Sussex and her husband reportedly held a secret online meeting with California Governor Gavin Newsom just several weeks before the United States presidential election. The royal family also reacted to the news of the Duke and Duchess' miscarriage after the news broke.

In November, Meghan revealed she had suffered a miscarriage last July, writing in an article of feeling "an nearly unbearable grief".

Meghan revealed his miscarriage in November previous year in a deeply personal article for the New York Times, writing: "I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second".

Harry and Meghan shocked the world past year when they stepped down as senior royals and announced they were moving to North America with baby Archie, who will turn two in May.
