Mass Effect's Pinnacle Station DLC wasn't a massive addition to the sci-fi RPG when it released back in 2009.

It's this version of the game that players will experience in Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

When Mass Effect made its PlayStation debut with the Mass Effect Trilogy compilation in 2012, this DLC was the only content missing from an otherwise full package.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include updated "textures, shaders, models, effects and technical features" and we now know exactly what that means.

PC specifically will support ultra-high refresh rates and consoles will have the ability to switch between favors framerate and favors quality which increases resolution or FPS respectively.

Answering a fan's query on Twitter, director Mac Walters confirmed that audio might be enhanced in all three video games, with enhanced sound results and better high quality samples, amongst different issues.

On the technical side of things, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be available as a separate install and will not affect other Mass Effect installations. Gameplay Enhancements for the First Mass Effect™ Game: Enjoy improved aiming and weapons stability, SFX, enter/controls, squad habits, cowl habits, and gameplay cameras. He further adds that due to "improvements and new options in character creator, some codes are now working better than others." .

Walters is referring strictly to single-player content. Players will also be able to skip through the Genesis DLC and go right to playing the game. Aside from multiplayer, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will come with almost every bit of content and DLC, except for one piece of DLC from Mass Effect 1 that may be permanently lost.

BioWare has revealed that the upcoming Mass Effect Legendary Edition will replace the highly controversial ending in Mass Effect 3 with the Extended Cut edition.
