CES 2021: AMD announces new Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors
The new lineup includes the 11th-Gen Intel Core vPro designed for business, N-series Pentium Silver and Celeron processors for education, and 11th-Gen Intel Core H-series mobile processors for gaming.
AMD's newest 5000-Series Mobile processors might be powering the upcoming laptops of corporations like HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, and extra.
These new chipsets are to supply great efficiency and longer battery lives for pc techniques to do extra and be extra productive. According to AMD, the Ryzen 7 5800U far outperforms Intel's latest 11th Gen Core i7-1185G7 by 44% in Adobe Premier video encoding and 39% in Blender 3D Ray Tracing.
Over the last several years, we've seen AMD push the envelope on multitasking performance in the desktop space, challenging convention how many cores consumers should expect from a mainstream CPU. The HX series is for the gamers and content creators, whereas the latter is used for thinner and lighter form factors. It is claimed by the company to deliver up to 17.5 hours of general-usage battery life and 21 hours of movie playback.
"This is where the energy efficiency of the Zen 3 core truly shines", she said.
The Ryzen 9 5900HX (3.30 Ghz base clock / 4.60 Ghz boost clock) and Ryzen 9 5980HX (3.30 Ghz base clock / 4.80 Ghz boost clock) are the flagship gaming processors, both coming with enhanced Vega GPUs and also coming with overclocking support (a first for AMD notebook CPUs). You can tell which is which because the Zen 2 chips have less than half the cache. Compared to the previous generation, the best representation of "performance on-the-go", which is the Ryzen 7 5800U 15W, promises about 16% higher single-threaded performance and 14% improvement on the multi-threaded performance. The H-series models are based on Zen 3 architecture while the U-series have Zen 2 architecture.
The "U" family, however, contains more rebadged Ryzen 4000 parts than it does Ryzen 5000 series chips. All eight of the Ryzen 5000 H-Series processors are based on the new Zen 3 architecture.
