Moto G 5G Smartphone Price in India & Full Phone Specifications
During the presentation, a Motorola handset was plugged into a monitor, which eventually opened up a desktop-like layout, complete with icons.
According to XDA-Developers, it seems that the desktop mode will come as part of the company's Android 11 update, alongside some form of mobile/PC integration.
The characteristic, which can probably be akin to Samsung DeX, may also be seen in motion in an official video posted on Qualcomm's press room yesterday as a part of the Snapdragon 888 announcement. The same smartphone along with Moto G9 Power had gone on sale in the European markets in October.
While there's no word on an upcoming smartphone running the new Snapdragon 888, Motorola Mobility president, Sergio Bunac, did mention the Moto G-series smartphones, stating that nothing would make them prouder than "bringing 800-series to this family". Also, the company is preparing to release another unusual flagship. That mobile device docked into a laptop shell, but smartphone hardware and Android software weren't quite ready for a phone to be used as a PC replacement. Under the hood, the Moto G 5G works with the help of a powerful Snapdragon 750G processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB expandable internal storage. Motorola has clearly significantly expanded upon the barebones desktop mode launcher that Google added in Android 10. In addition to 5G, the Moto G 5G provides support for WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, headphone port coupled with USB Type-C port. The identity of the device seen in the video is yet to be confirmed, but the report speculates that it might be the upcoming Motorola Nio (looks similar to Moto G 5G Plus) that will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and run Android 11 out-of-the-box. The device will be released in the first half of 2021. The interface lists the streaming apps and games on the phone in an interface that similar to Android TV. This way, users will be able to fit in more people when making a video call.
Lastly, Motorola showed off a TV-optimized layout that places tiles of popular games and media applications in a horizontally-scrolling carousel.
