Trump's daughter-in-law considering Senate run, says United States media

The Times cites "three allies" who say the wife of Donald Trump's son Eric is considering a run in 2022 after Sen.

President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump is considering running for Senate in the North Carolina race in 2022, according to the New York Times.

A Trump Organization spokesperson for Lara did not immediately respond to a inquiry on whether she is considering a run for public office. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows might be eyeing a seat in the senate.

"I love the people of North Carolina". She worked really hard on the campaign and was very involved in a lot of decisions throughout, ' Schlapp, who traveled the country as a Trump surrogate alongside Lara, said.

The 38-year-old drew criticism earlier this year after a Huffington Post report from "top Republicans" alleged that she was receiving some $180,000 a year via former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale's, "Parscale Strategy".

Pres. Donald Trump did not give any comments yet about the report over her daughter-in-law's plan to run for a senate in North Carolina. It is increasingly seen as a possible swing state. It is not known whether the simple fact of having the support of the family will otergue advantages in one of the most close seats in the nation, where Republican candidates with experience in the state are already aligning.

Perhaps less of a contest if Lara entered the scene.

Lara Trump served as a high-profile campaign adviser to both her father-in-law's presidential runs in 2016 and 2020, regularly appearing on conservative-leaning talk shows on Fox News and focusing efforts on a campaign to bring out women voters called "Women for Trump".

Eric and Lara Trump currently live in Westchester, New York, with their two young children (their daughter, Carolina, is named after the state Lara Trump is looking at now).
