New Stranger Things 4 Cast Includes Robert Englund, More

Stranger Things Season 4 Adds Robert Englund Jamie Campbell Bower & More

Set in the 1980s, Stranger Things takes a look at the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a secret government lab accidentally opens a door to another dimension referred to as the Upside Down.

The upcoming fourth season, however, will feature a horror icon from the "80s in Robert Englund, best known for playing Freddy Kreuger from 'A Nightmare On Elm Street" and the subsequent sequels and spin-offs. Newcomer Jamie Campbell Bower and recurring star Robert Englund are two of the characters tied to this particular setting. Joining Bower and Englund in Stranger Things 4 are Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn who are now series regulars. Rounding out the new cast additions is Eduardo Franco (Booksmart) as Jonathan's (Charlie Heaton) new best friend Argyle, "a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza".

According to the release, Englund will play Victor Creel, "a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the "50s", which sounds exactly like something from a Wes Craven movie".

Bower, who is now a series regular, plays Peter Ballard, "a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital". Exhausted of the brutality he witnesses day after day, will Peter finally take a stand?

Englund is one of eight (!) actors boarding Stranger Things Season 4, production of which is now underway in Georgia (after an eight-month COVID-19 delay).

Other recurring characters joining the series include Sherman Augustus (Into the Badlands), who plays Lt. Colonel Sullivan, a military man who thinks he knows how to destroy the evil forces plaguing Hawkins.

Additionally, Mason Dye (The Goldbergs) will play Jason Carver a "handsome" and "rich" sports star "who is dating the most popular girl in school". Although he is hated by those who don't understand him, and loved by those close to him, Eddie soon finds himself at the terrifying center of the season's ultimate mystery. But when a new evil threatens Hawkins, his ideal world begins to unravel.

Finally there are also a few characters whom Jim Hopper will meet in Russian Federation.

-Wlaschiha will play Dmitri, a Russian prison guard who befriends Hopper. Dmitri is described as smart, cunning, and charming, though it's unclear if he can be trusted.

Few details are known about Stranger Things 4, although creators the Duffer brothers have teased that "a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything".
