Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield Spider-Man Not Confirmed Says Sony

Spider-Man 3 Sony Addresses Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Rumors

Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment Camila Pacheco revealed to the audience present that the first look at the third instalment of the Spider-Man franchise will be released in December 2020. Unusual was added to the cast which promptly sparked suspicions that a live-action Spider-Verse film was in the works. Well, after reports that actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were in talks for the next MCU Spider-Man film - a new report suggests that they have officially signed on.

According to MCU Cosmic, Sony had already cast someone to play the role of Miles in live-action.

Tom Holland as the titular hero in "Spider-Man: Far From Home".

It has been revealed this month that Doctor Strange will appear in the third Spider-Man movie, with Jamie Foxx also set to reprise the role of Electro from the Amazing Spider-Man franchise. There are also a lot of other insane rumors flying around out there, but today is one that is really cool if it turns out to be true.

They told ET Canada, "Those rumoured castings are not confirmed".

Well, Sony Studios - who owns the rights to Spider-Man - was asked about this rumor. I don't wanna get everyone's hopes up (mine included) about the rumored casting of Maguire and Garfield and the potential of a Spider-Verse film happening in live-action form but for all we know, Sony might just be playing with fans and they could actually be saving the news' announcement for a later date. Fans are excited for the first look at Spider-Man 3 as well as the Doctor strange's film. We'll have to wait and see!

Well, maybe just a little bit.
