Prepare for Season 2 With a Look Back at Season 1
Since The Mandalorian has started to carve its own path, I'm hoping that the second season doesn't get too bogged down with more connective tissue to other established corners of the Star Wars universe.
In the second season, The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a risky galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. New episodes drop every Friday, so you can stream subsequent episodes on November 6, Nov. 13, November 20, Nov. 27, December 4, Dec. 11 and December 18.
Episodes of The Mandalorian are expected to drop around 6:00pm AEDT, which is 5:00pm AEST, 4:30pm ACST and 3:00pm AWST, so plan your watch party accordingly.
Need a refresher on all the key events of The Mandalorian season one? You can tell he's a Mandalorian because of the helmet that he wears and never takes off because "this is the way".
What's it about: "The Mandalorian" follows the adventures of a masked bounty hunter named Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) bound by a creed to protect The Child, a Force-sensitive "Baby Yoda", from nefarious characters with mysterious intentions across the galaxy far, far away.
As Mando and Baby Yoda are chased around the galaxy they make a few friends along the way.
This season: Mando teams up again with Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) in a quest to find more Mandalorians to help him complete the mission. There are plenty of cute Baby Yoda - or, sorry, The Child - shots as well as reminders of the various allies and foes Mando met throughout his journey. But before we go it turns out Moff Gideon did not in fact die and emerges from his TIE fighter holding a black lightsaber, otherwise known as the Darksaber.
