In keeping with National Football League coronavirus protocol, he had to twice test negative before being allowed back. He suffered the injury on October 1 against the Jets and did not practice last week ahead of Week 5, but he did not miss a game after Denver's game in New England was postponed.

The New England Patriots went back to work Saturday in preparation for their twice-postponed game against Denver even as they added three more players to the COVID-19 injury list.

The Falcons (0-5) remain scheduled to play Sunday at Minnesota (1-4) while the Ravens (4-1) visit Philadelphia (1-3 with one drawn) and the Jaguars (1-4) entertain Detroit (1-3).

The Broncos' layoff is the longest in the league since 2001, when the NFL postponed all games the weekend following the 9-11 terrorist attacks.

Elsewhere, the Jacksonville Jaguars said that a practice-squad player tested positive. "There is also a second test they are awaiting to confirm is a positive".

The outbreak started two weeks ago with quarterback Cam Newton's positive test. Practice squad defensive tackle Bill Murray and cornerback Stephon Gilmore landed on the COVID-19 list in. Gilmore confirmed two days after that game that he had tested positive.

I was briefly encouraged this morning when Bullets featured nuggets about the Falcons and Colts returning to their respective facilities after their recent battles with COVID-19 cases.

Both players were listed as questionable when the Broncos released game statuses on Friday.

Modkins represents the team's first COVID-19 test since tight end Andrew Beck was sidelined before training camp. Three teams - the Saints, Steelers and Buccaneers - had byes when play resumed a week later, so they all had 20 days between games that year.

Falcons rookie defensive tackle Marlon Davidson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday and a second person, who is not a player, subsequently tested positive.

Indianapolis closed its practice facility, then the four retests came back negative and the building reopened. Gordon then did not practice Wednesday following the arrest, practiced Thursday, but did not practice Friday when he became ill. Lock was a full participant at practice all week.

That means he will be able to play Sunday when the Browns face Pittsburgh.

The reserves are together and apart from active players during meetings and workouts.
