OnePlus Unveils Its $749 8T Flagship: 120Hz Screen, 65W Charging & Quad Cameras

The supposedly special edition of the One Plus Nord is not all that special

The new "Gray Ash" special edition of the OnePlus Nord is available only in 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. Back then, OnePlus' own co-founder Carl Pei shared similar OnePlus smartwatch design sketches on his Twitter account, so we know this project has been in the works for quite some time.

The high-power USA spec is available in Luna Silver and Aquamarine Green.

The pricing point suggests an upper end of the mid-range phone arena.

KitGuru Says: The OnePlus 8T looks like a very decent phone on paper.

It has a vision to create smart devices that connect seamlessly with each other, whether that be phones, smart home products, smart TVs (which it has already launched) and now - probably - smartwatches. The screen runs at a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Is the OnePlus 8T going to be on your wishlist?

The OLED panel features HDR.

On the rear, you will find a quad-camera setup, including a 16MP wide-angle lens, a 48MP main camera, a macro lens and a monochrome lens.

The device should have been equipped with a Snapdragon 865 Plus, as the "T" models usually feature Qualcomm's newest system-on-a-chip.

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T both have 16 megapixel front camera for video calling and selfie. Before you proceed with the installation, here is a piece of advice: make sure that the battery level of your smartphone is above 30% and that the minimum storage space available is 3GB.

In OnePlus 8T, the company has given a large battery of 4,500mAh.

The autonomy highly depends on the refresh rate you choose. Speaking of Pei, he recently announced that he is leaving the company he co-founded and was the face of, just prior to the OnePlus 8T event, in order to start a new venture.

Warp Change 65 is particularly impressive, too: It can charge the handset to 100 percent in under 40 minutes, and it does so without overheating the phone or its charger. As a contributor to Henri Le Chat Noir, Amy mainly covers mobile news and gadgets.
