India's first World Cup winning-captain complained of chest pain on Thursday following which he was taken to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute's emergency department.
A hospital statement said only that Dev was in "stable" condition. Former cricketer Chetan Sharma has given information about it. Chetan wrote on Twitter, "It is good news that Kapil Pji has been cured and he has been discharged from the hospital". After receiving the good health of Kapil Dev, fans have congratulated him on Twitter and wished him good health.
"Currently, he is admitted in ICU and under close supervision of Dr. Atul Mathur and his team".
"Mr. Kapil Dev got discharged today afternoon".

The ex-India captain underwent an emergency coronary Angioplasty after being admitted to Fortis Escort Heart Institute on Friday.
Wishing Dev a speedy recovery, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals tweeted, "There's no challenge that the #HaryanaHurricane can't overcome".
Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers to have graced the game, Kapil played 131 Tests and 225 ODIs.
He continues to be the only player in cricket history to have taken over 400 wickets (434) and accumulate more than 5000 runs in Tests.
In 1983, Dev led from the front to guide his national side to a 43-run victory over the mighty West Indies at Lord's and to India's maiden International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup trophy.
