Jared Leto To Return As Joker In Justice League Snyder Cut

Jared Leto to reprise the role of Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

"Sources close to Berg and Johns have confirmed the duo's intention to remove their names from the Snyder Cut since they did not work on this version and are no longer studio executives".

The highly anticipated "Snyder Cut" will take the form of a four-part miniseries on HBO Max, with the director confirming that territories where the service is unavailable - including the United Kingdom - will be able to see the four-hour extravaganza in some form.

Jared Leto played the Joker in "Suicide Squad" in 2015. Although it is not entirely clear what role Leto's Joker will play in the re-edited film, it looks like he will finally have the last laugh.

It's no secret the first round of additional photography for Justice League was hectic as Joss Whedon stepped in and reshot the majority of the movie.

Details for the new Snyder Cut scenes include that Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Amber Heard are involved, in addition to Leto back as Joker, and it is unclear which other actors are also included in the new scenes.

Leto's role in Suicide Squad, which was originally much bigger, was shaved down to barely 10 minutes in the film.

The project will be released on HBO Max next year, reportedly in the form of a four-episode limited series.

Speaking of Fisher, THR also notes that Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will not receive any credit for Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Regardless, Leto is becoming a member of different actors from "Justice League" this week for added images on the undertaking. Joker went on to be a massive success, with Joaquin Phoenix winning the Oscar for Best Actor earlier this year. We saw Batman a few times in Suicide Squad, including when he chased after Joker and Harley Quinn through the streets of Gotham City, but Leto and Ben Affleck's respective characters never truly shared screen time. Yet, in the unusual saga of Zack Snyder's Justice League, it doesn't seem so out of place.
