"The Mandalorian" Earns First Emmy Win for Disney+

One of the big winners was The Mandalorian, thanks in no small part to the wonder of "Baby Yoda". These are our best guesses for what shows will come out on top at Sunday's 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, but beware: It wouldn't be the Emmys if a few of the winners didn't come out of the blue.

Emmy voters have spoken: The Mandalorian took home five trophies at Wednesday's third night of the Creative Arts Emmys. The platform launched in November 2019.

The Mandalorian secured wins for Outstanding Sound Editing, Outstanding Sound Mixing (for a Half-Hour Comedy, Drama, or Animation), Outstanding Production Design (for a Half-Hour Narrative Program), Outstanding Cinematography (for a Half-Hour Single-Camera Series), and Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

This year, she's also been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Little Fires Everywhere.

The 2020 Emmys are just around the corner, with this year's proceedings set to take place virtually for the first time in the award show's 72-year history. The second season of the series will premiere on October 30. However, the series, which stars Regina King, already won four awards. You can also tune in via streaming services such as Hulu + Live TV or YouTube TV, both of which offer free trials.
