The "MC" in MC20 of course stands for "Maserati Corse" (corse meaning racing) and the MC20 is expected to be a successor to MC12, the fastest Maserati road auto ever made. The supercar will come with a price tag of $210,000 in the U.S., which is somewhere around ₹1.54 crore when converted. Meanwhile, the front and rear suspension on it is a double-wishbone with a virtual steering axle. Technology is also a major part of the package, with a couple of 10-inch displays taking care of virtually everything - from showcasing the instrument cluster to enabling the interface of the Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC Plus MIA). The automatic gearbox is adjusted via buttons on the transmission tunnel, and there's a rotary dial to select different driving modes.

Legendary Italian automaker Maserati unveiled its new supercar overnight, the Maserati MC20, in Modena, Italy, marking a dramatic shift in the brand's direction. That's slightly in jest, though there's no escaping the fact that a lot has happened in the world since Maserati last produced a dedicated mid-engined thoroughbred - even without a Covid-induced delay that should have seen this revealed months ago.

Underneath all the metal lies a completely new soul, the previously introduced Nettuno engine. It produces a massive 630BHP of power while the peak torque claimed by the company is around 730Nm. It arrives as a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 with a Maserati-patented MTC (Maserati Twin Combustion) technology that develops 630 hp and 730 Nm (538 lb. ft.), enough for a sprint to 62 miles per hour (100 kph) in less than 2.9 seconds and a maximum speed of more than 202 miles per hour (325 kph). Just like the MC12 before, the MC20 is a bold announcement that Maserati is going back to the pitlane and racing soon.
