Apple 8th-gen iPad, new iPad Air launched, price starts at ₹29,990

Apple eighth-generation iPad

The entry-level eighth-gen iPad gets the A12 Bionic chip. For the fourth-generation model, Apple has elected to use a 10.9-inch laminated screen, at a resolution of 2,360 by 1,650, which also includes P3 Wide Color and TrueTone support. With 500 million iPad devices sold, the traditional design is proven to be just fine. The newly launched 8th generation iPad replaces the 7th generation iPad that was launched in the fall previous year as the entry-level iPad. And yes, this is the chip that's normally saved for new iPhones, but those aren't here just yet. Pretty mind-blowing stuff. There are 11.8 billion transistors inside the A14 Bionic. Apple will start rolling out the iPadOS 14 on all its iPads starting September 16. It has a 10.9-inch Retina display with anti-reflective coating and a new design language which includes narrow bezels and the new touch ID on top side panel. Apart from having a new exterior, the new iPad Air is running on what appears to be the same chip that would power the upcoming iPhone 12.

IPad Air was created to offer pro features at an affordable price and is a new mission statement for the iPad Air and it looks like the iPad Pro 11-inch. On the Pro, that problem was overcome with the addition of Face ID facial recognition, but that will not be present in the new iPad Air. Lightning is officially only found on the eighth-gen iPad and iPad Mini. Unfortunately, there's no longer a 3.5mm headphone jack so you'll have to get a dongle or go completely wireless. The back has the iPad Pro's 12-megapixel camera, supports 4K video with improved stabilization. For selfies you get a 7MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video at 60fps. Available in five colour options-silver, space gray, rose gold, green and sky blue, the new iPad Air comes in 64GB and 256GB configuration.

Apple will start to make the iPad Air available in October in 30 countries and regions, including the United States.
