It's worth noting that the Hummer EV was expected to be revealed on May 20, but that didn't come to pass due to a variety of reasons, mainly the coronavirus pandemic that shuttered most of the American automobile industry. For a more military look, there will also be a Hummer pickup with a bed behind the four-door cabin. It apparently also has an "open-air infinity roof" with "modular sky panels".
The new Hummer EV will be built by GMC, likely in the US. I'd have to say it's the insane 1,000 horsepower.
The EV will also feature an "Adrenaline Mode" which can be expected to offer similar performance-enhancing functionality to Tesla's "Ludicrous Mode", and a "Crab Mode" which will likely involve some sort of extreme four-wheel steering. Who doesn't want to drive a vehicle with insane drive modes like that!?!? In this latest video, GMC reveals the silhouette of a Hummer SUV. From what we know it will be an all-electric vehicle, just like the new Hummer pickup.
The clip shows us the shape of the aggressive, off-road-looking SUT and SUV bodies.
The battery-run off-roader, which the enterprise has teased with shadowy photographs, will be provided as a pickup or SUV and element GM's fingers-off Super Cruise driver help, Tesla-beating 350 kW charging functionality and a model with 1,000 hp that can accelerate to 60 miles per hour in a few seconds. The silhouette of the new SUV looks very similar to the Hummer H3 SUV of the past. Probably the design of the vehicle was deliberately compared to the Hummer H2. Hummer slates production for Fall 2021. Expect deliveries in that timeframe as well.
The teaser of the GMC Hummer EV was shown off just after the company posted its quarterly results, with a $758 million second-quarter net loss reported by the company.
