CNN anchor Chris Cuomo strongly suggested on Thursday night that President Trump was responsible for the death of former GOP presidential candidate and business icon Herman Cain. Cain died in an Atlanta-area hospital, where he was admitted in early July, according to Newsmax, where he had been set to launch a weekly television program. He's been known to be vocal regarding his opposition to wearing a mask, especially for Trump's event at Mount Rushmore. Trump called Cain "a wonderful man and a dear friend".
Cain served as the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza and entered politics in 1996 where he served as senior advisor for Bob Dole's presidential campaign. The facemask issue in particular pushed many liberals on Twitter to point the finger at both Trump and Cain himself for his death, while conservatives pushed back over the politicization of his passing.
Former Cain aide Ellen Carmichael, who had served as the communications director for Cain's campaign, tweeted her condolences.

"Our hearts grieve for his loved ones, and they will remain in our prayers at this time".
In October 2011, a Politico report alleged that two female employees had made complaints about inappropriate behaviour by Cain while he was president and chief executive of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s.
