Trump promotes video of a supporter saying 'white power'

The person who posted the video said it was scenes of seniors protesting each other in the retirement community of the Villages, Fla.

The man then continues to drive off and is followed by other fellow Trump campaign supporters as they argued with protestors lining the street. Asked about the tweet, White House deputy press secretary Judd Deere said "President Trump is a big fan of The Villages".

"Corrupt Joe is shot".

The tweet was deleted from Trump's Twitter page about two hours after it was posted.

Early in the video, a man in a golf cart with pro-Trump signs yells, "White power!"

In response, Piers questioned why the President shared the video.

"He did not hear the one statement made on the video".

Some of the counterdemonstrators in the Florida video hold signs supporting former vice president Joe Biden, the presumed Democratic nominee challenging Trump in November.

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., added to the urgency when he called the tweet "indefensible" and demanded that the president take it down during an interview on CNN, the officials said.

"What he did see was tremendous enthusiasm from his many supporters". The video also shows anti-Trump protesters shouting "Nazi", "racist", and profanities at the Trump backers.

The tweet comes on the heels of Trump's hostile response to protests against racial injustice engulfing the United States following the death of Floyd, an unarmed Black man who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes in Minneapolis. In 2017, Trump responded to clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia, between white nationalists and counter-protesters by saying there were "very fine people on both sides".

Vice President Mike Pence refused repeated opportunities to say the phrase "Black Lives Matter" on Sunday, telling CBS' "Face the Nation" program: "I really believe that all lives matter and that's where the heart of the American people lies". "O$3 bviously, the President and I and his whole administration would stand against any acts of white supremacy".
