SpaceX Will Take Four Astronauts To The ISS In 2021

SpaceX Just Shared Inside-Scoop Video on Advanced Dragon Spacesuit Design

They speak about concept, design, and production processes for the SpaceX suit - which NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken both wore on their Demo-2 mission launch aboard the Dragon to the International Space Station at the end of May.

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Akihiko Hoshide and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Thomas Pesquet will join as mission specialists.

The SpaceX spacesuits intended for Crew Dragon astronauts glance a large amount unique from the typical NASA fits that have been in support for a long time.

The crew will consist of veterans of previous ISS missions, including JAXA's Akihiko Hoshide, European Space Agency's Thomas Perequed, and Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur, who are NASA astronauts.

The four Crew-2 astronauts have a mission duration of around six months and will be sharing the space station with three other astronauts who will be launched on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft.

Crew Dragon will soon be departing in the ISS shortly, and NASA will be able to reevaluate it and utilize the hardware every time it requires. It denoted the first time in history that a commercial vehicle conveyed people into space and the first manned launch from United States soil since NASA's Space Shuttle retired in 2011. The Crew 2 is preparing for a launch to the International Space Center (ISS) in 2021. Roberto Vittori, an Italian astronaut, made the trip aboard NASA's Space Shuttle Endeavour in 2011.

NASA astronauts Megan McCarthur and Shane Kimbrough will join JAXA's Akihiko Hoshide and ESA's Thomas Pesquet on that flight, which will follow Crew-1 now scheduled for sometime in late September after Demo-2 concludes. The Crew 2 will be Robert's third trip to the infinite space, while it will only be Megan's second. What's more, that will make ready for a Crew Dragon capsule to be propelled on its first completely operational mission to the space station, Crew-1, which is scheduled for late September.

NASA looks forward to building spacecrafts and rockets for deep space exploration and research.

"I am thrilled to be the first European to fly on the new generation of U.S. crewed spacecraft", Pesquet said in a press release.
