Giuliani's claim that Baron Cohen tried to prank him with an interview comes nearly two weeks after the British comedian infiltrated the rally of a far-right militia group called 3% of Washington in Olympia, Washington on June 27, and told a series of "racist and anti-Semitic" jokes while encouraging the crowd to participate, organizers of the event said.
In the middle of what seemed to be a legitimate interview with Giuliani, 76, a pink bikini-clad Cohen reportedly stormed in on the former New York City mayor and the hired actor who was pretending to interview him before parading around the Mark Hotel room and causing a ruckus. "This guy comes running in, wearing a insane, what I would say was a pink transgender outfit", said Giuliani.
"I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen", Giuliani continued to Page Six. "He then ran away", he recounted.
With an election looming in November, Sacha Baron Cohen has appeared to prank unsuspecting right-wing figures.
Rudy claimed the outfit was "absurd", and he definitely wouldn't describe his appearence as "distractingly attractive".
Talking to Page Six, Giuliani said that he, later, understood that it was Cohen, "I felt good about myself because he didn't get me".
"I am a fan of some of his movies, Borat in particular, because I've been to Kazakhstan", he said, before imitating Borat himself: "'She is my sister.
Cohen also crashed a conservative event in Washington donning the persona of a racist country singer, where he encouraged attendees to sing along to lyrics that included having liberals "chopped up" or having them "injected with the Wuhan flu".
A rep for Cohen declined to comment.
Sacha Baron Cohen playing the part of his comedy character "Borat" attends a photocall ahead of the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 2, 2005 in Lisbon, Portugal. "Chop 'em up like the Saudis do", seemingly a sick reference to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Outlets such as Deadline suggest Cohen is filming a new season of his 2018 prank series "Who Is America?" for Showtime.
We will assess the extent of Henderson's injury, says Klopp
Over the course of the game, we gave a really good account of ourselves, especially going 2-0 down in the manner that we did. Jordan Henderson scored Liverpool's other goal, in the eighth minute, to build on the opener from Salah two minutes earlier.
