Qatar Airways starts to reinstate 18 more destinations till July 15

"Qatar Airways has never stopped operating to Canada throughout this crisis and we are pleased to be able to further strengthen our support to the people of Canada with the addition of these three weekly scheduled flights to Toronto".

The face shields are obligatory for economy class passengers, unless they're eating or drinking, the airline says.

As virtually all airlines across the world, Qatar Airways has modified its boarding process to limit contact between passengers and staff and introduced social distance signage at airports to remind passengers to keep at least 1.5 meter distance between each other.

The face shield is being handed out to all passengers. They can choose to isolate themselves for the duration of the flight by closing the suite door and marking themselves "do not disturb".

The face shields, which are disposable, comes into play two sizes, one for adults plus one for kids.

"Qatar Airways has shown to be a responsible and reliable airline during this COVID-19 pandemic and we are delighted to resume services to Bali, one of the most visited tourist destinations, along with an increased flight frequency to Jakarta". Business-class customers will also get an additional 75ml sanitiser gel tube.

Amid the pandemic, the airline has introduced personal protective equipment (PPE) for its cabin crew, which includes gloves, face masks, safety glasses and protective gowns fitted over their uniforms. "We will continue to lead the industry in terms of the services offered to our passengers, so they can travel with confidence".

All passengers must use them during boarding and embarkation.

The Gulf carrier also claims to have operated more flights than any other airline throughout the pandemic, maintaining service to at least 30 cities simultaneously since March.

The carrier said that business class meals are now served covered on a tray instead of a table set-up, and a cutlery wrap is offered to passengers as an alternative to individual cutlery service. The airline no longer has menu cards for the economy cabin (and are single-use in business class), and meals arrive sealed. Its aircraft feature the most advanced air filtration systems, equipped with industrial-size HEPA filters that remove 99.97% of viral and bacterial contaminants from re-circulated air, providing the most effective protection against infection.

In June, a passenger was kicked off an American Airlines flight for refusing to wear a mask. In addition, hand sanitizers are provided at immigration and security screening points.

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named "World's Best Airline" by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by the worldwide air transport rating organisation Skytrax.

Qatar Airways now operates one of the largest global networks with over 275 weekly flights to 49 destinations worldwide, with more destinations planned to resume flights in July.
