Prosecutors seek Friday court appearance for Maxwell

In this courtroom artist's sketch defendant Jeffrey Epstein left and attorney Reid Weingarten second from right listen as attorney Martin Weinberg right speaks during a bail hearing in federal court Monday

Sources close to the Duke said his legal team had written to the Department of Justice in the U.S. two to three days before Federal Bureau of Investigation agents swooped, arresting Ms Maxwell, 58, at her hideout in New Hampshire on Thursday.

Fox News apparently cropped President Donald Trump out of a photograph with Jeffrey Epstein on Sunday, during the network's coverage of the arrest of Ghislane Maxwell.

Maxwell is due before a court in NY later this week. She may be sent to the same jail where Epstein was found dead a year ago. The charges alleged Maxwell assisted Epstein in recruiting and grooming several girls as young as 14 dating back to 1994.

Following the arrest of the former associate of late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Mr Cole joined Andrew Castle to discuss the implications for the Duke of York, who has been linked with Jeffrey Epstein in the past.

Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein's "madam" Ghislaine Maxwell are bidding to get her bail, as claims have emerged that she will be offered a plea deal, which could potentially be struck if she offers evidence leading to the conviction of "bigger fish", the Sun reported, citing sources.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims to have been forced to sleep with Prince Andrew, says the prince "should be panicking" because "Ghislaine doesn't really care about anyone else but Ghislaine".

She also alleged she was trafficked for underage sex with friends of Epstein including Prince Andrew.

Andrew is said to be "bewildered" at reports he has not helped the United States investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. The segment was about the FBI's recent arrest of Maxwell, who has been charged with sex trafficking children.

The duke, who is a former friend of Epstein, has been urged to provide information to the investigation by a USA attorney.

"I frankly can not understand why this interview has not been taken place" he said, insisting that if he was advising the Duke of York, he would tell him to "sit down with the authorities and answer their questions". I don't think they're going to take kindly to this.
