There's a Full 'Thunder' Moon and a Lunar Eclipse This Weekend

July 4 will mark the third lunar eclipse for 2020.

July's full moon gets its name from the Old Farmer's Almanac and originates from Native American tribes as they used lunar phases to keep track of the seasons.

There'll also be another reason to look skyward this weekend, as this month's full moon happens to coincide with a lunar eclipse.

The full moon was a partial penumbral eclipse. Astrologers for my part, I talked about what not to do in lunar Eclipse and full moon on 5 July.

Historically July's full moon is named a 'Buck moon' because a buck's antlers are in full progress mode this era.

The July 5 lunar eclipse will begin at 8:37 AM IST and will end at 11:22 AM IST. But, people in North America, South America, South/West Europe, much of Africa, Indian Ocean, Pacific, Antarctica, and Atlantic can watch it. However, this year all the lunar eclipses are penumbral Sutak will not be considered during this time.

It is believed that the Negative energies released during the eclipse can cause severe problems to the eyes, skin and hormones. It's not a total eclipse so there are some tips about how to see it.

Lunar Eclipse or Chandra Grahan is a celestial event that occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. Virtual Telescope June 21, 2020 * Solar Eclipse Annular 20:45 PT / 23:45 ET (June 20) 23:40 PT (June 20) / 2:40 ET (June 21) 2:34 PT / 5:34 ET Central African Republic, Congo and Ethiopia, Pakistan, India and China.

The July full moon also has been known as Thunder Moon, Hay Moon, Mead Moon, Rose Moon, Guru Moon and Dharma Day. Interestingly enough, during eclipses (but also during every full and new moon), gravitational forces on Earth are particularly strong because of the sun's influence when it aligns with the moon and our planet.

We should have mostly clear conditions for Saturday night if you want to try to check it out. During this process, there is no partial or total hiding of the Moon.

People in India will not be able to witness it as it is visible from India.

The eclipse's many nicknames come from a variety of sources. Totally 6 eclipses will be witnessed, 2 solar eclipses, and 4 lunar eclipses.
