The first female netminder to earn induction, St-Pierre ranks at or near the top in every major category with Canada's National Women's Team - she is first in games played (83), minutes played (4,552), wins (64) and shutouts (29), and sits second in goals-against average (1.17) and save percentage (.939). He collected a sixth Cup in 1994 with the Rangers.

This was Hossa's first year of eligibility.

Taken by Ottawa with the 12th pick in 1997, Hossa added 52 goals and 149 points in 205 playoff outings, winning the Cup with Chicago in 2010, 2013 and 2015.

Selected 11th overall at the 1995 NHL draft by Dallas before being dealt to the Flames as part of the Joe Nieuwendyk trade, Iginla willed Calgary to Game 7 of the 2004 Stanley Cup final before falling Tampa Bay, but never again got close to hockey's ultimate prize.

Hossa and Iginla are the xx and xx one-time members of the Penguins to receive this honor.

Jarome Iginla will be the fourth black elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Wilson, who won the Norris Trophy as the league's top defenseman in 1982 and retired in 1993 said: "Timing never meant a thing to me". Hall chairman Lanny McDonald joked to Lowe, "You only won six Stanley Cups, you selfish rascal you".

Drafted by Edmonton 21st overall in 1979, Lowe won five Cups in his 13 seasons in the Alberta capital.

Following his playing career, Holland served as a scout with Detroit before moving up to assistant GM.

"I'm not even a Hall of Famer in my own house, so joining this club means the world to me", Wilson is quoted as saying in the news release. "There's a few things that you'd like to accomplish in the game, and today was one of those".

The hall's selection committee met for the first time via an online forum because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to three Olympic gold medals she also won five women's world championships. At the 110-minute mark, Hossa finished answering a question then admitted: "It's 1 a.m. here and I'm having a first bottle of wine already done and I don't know how long this press conference will go, so good luck to me". "It's a huge thrill".
