Today's Weather: Showers And Storms

Showers, thunderstorms on tap for a hot, humid Sunday afternoon

It's going to be the difference between upper 80s-low 90s and mid-upper 90s. Heat indices all week will range anywhere from 95-106. If you suffer from respiratory health problems, it wouldn't be a good idea to spend time outdoors. Scattered showers and storms linger in the area throughout Tuesday hitting on-and-off into the afternoon. The risk for severe weather will be limited as well. There will be several spots that get very little if any rain at all for the next 8 days. High temperatures will peak right around 90 degrees again, but a north wind will help usher in some drier air at all levels of the atmosphere, which means it won't feel almost as muggy as it did over the weekend. Winds S 15-25 miles per hour.

Mostly clear, with a low around 74. Winds SE 5-15 miles per hour.

Tuesday: More clouds, some showers, muggy. Winds S 10-20, gusting around 25 miles per hour.

Wednesday could see an uptick in rain chances due to a nearby front with afternoon storm chances. Highs in the mid 90s.

Throughout the rest of the week there will be lots of heat and humidity. We may really heat up for the 4th of July weekend as 90 degrees is looking possible both Saturday and Sunday, if not sooner.

Heat Index values today will possibly top out in the lower 100s... The rain Sunday actually helped reduce the amount of dust in the air and has brought better quality air.

We still have a chance of showers and storms on Thursday, lasting until around 8 PM.
