Xiaomiannounced the latest iteration of its custom ROM, the MIUI 12 back in April this year. The screenshot, however, does not specify the new updates and features that the smartphone is receiving. The OTA update will be pushed in several phases and may reach to all the devices in the net few days/weeks. All you need to do is just head on to Settings → My Device → About Phone and check for new updates. MIUI 12 brings New System Animations, Icons, and Fonts, New Control Center, Improved navigation gestures, New App drawer, Live Wallpapers, Better Animations, Floating Windows, Forced Dark Mode, Improved Health Features and much more.
Aside from the Android version bump, this update brings with it the June 2020 security patches, as well as the usual bug fixes and performance enhancements.
And true to its word, the company has published a list of Mi accounts belonging to those who successfully got into the program to try MIUI 12 global update ahead of the rest.
