Rain pushes NASCAR’s Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte to Thursday

Postponing, delaying and shortening races at both Darlington Raceway last week and Charlotte Motor Speedway this week, she has scored another victory.

NASCAR's first wave of races in its comeback totaled seven national events over 11 days.

Rain washed out the Cup Series race Wednesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway - a slight break for NASCAR teams taxed by a grueling return to racing. The schedule has been changed at that track, too, as Wednesday's postponement means that this Saturday's scheduled Xfinity race will now be run next Monday at 7 p.m. instead.

Because the Cup Series race was postponed until last night, the X-finity Series race set for Saturday at Bristol will move to Monday.

When the race does go green, Hendrick Motorsports teammates William Byron and Alex Bowman will roll off from the front row.

The Coca Cola 600, which started on Sunday and ended on Monday in Charlotte, was halted for almost 90 minutes due to inclement weather.

Kyle Busch won the Xfinity Series race on Monday night and Chase Elliott held off Busch to win Tuesday night's Truck Series race, which was that series' first event since February 21 at Las Vegas.
