Now, the approved plan goes to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings' desk for him to endorse before it heads to Gov. DeSantis' desk, WFTV reports. Universal Studios will provide free masks for guests who do not bring their own. In addition, things like valet parking will be halted outside the parks, and single rider lines will be closed, as maximizing attraction capacity is not now a priority.

The Miami Herald report includes this from a spokesperson from SeaWorld, "SeaWorld's team of experts is now making necessary preparations to reopen and operate our parks as soon as safely possible, including the testing of rides, new sanitation protocols and a number of other enhanced health and safety related measures,".

The partial reopening of Disney Springs this week is the beginning of Disney's phased approach to fully opening its doors again.

The regulations also include distanced ride queues, reduced park capacity and hours, as well as anticipated mandatory masks for all, temperature checks for guests, and plexiglass dividers at registers - some of these changes will also be put in place at reopened Florida casinos.

Also posted on the Disney Springs website is this warning: "COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death".

Finally, the statement concludes with, "By visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19". We reported live from Disney Springs yesterday to see how Disney World is implementing new guidelines when it comes to shopping and dining - you can see our full coverage here. Shanghai Disney reopened last week to a limited number of guests.

Most beaches in south Florida also remain closed.

In a Disney Parks Blog post on Saturday, Matt Simon, vice president of Disney Springs stated, "Rest assured, there is plenty of magic awaiting you at Disney Springs - it just may feel a bit different than before".

Universal has already started a phased reopening.

"But I heard from other stores in the state that it takes a couple of days for everyone to realize that we are open". "A lot of it has to do with guest behavior as much as it has to do with Disney operations", he said.
