Trump Wants US to Be World’s Number One Medical Manufacturer

President Trump speaks to the press after meeting with Republican Senators in the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill

Asked why he wasn't wearing a mask in front of the press and representatives from Ford before making remarks at the plant, Trump said, "in this area.it's not necessary here, everybody's been tested and I've been tested".

President Trump wears a mask during his tour of the Ford Rawsonville Components Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where ventilators, masks and other medical supplies are being manufactured.

The photo showing Trump alongside the exec and several others also wearing masks, was reportedly snapped by a Ford employee behind the scenes.

"There's a possibility that the assault of the virus on our nation next winter will actually be even more hard than the one we just went through", the CDC director said.

He also said Nessel should not take action against Ford for allowing him not to wear a mask on public portions of the tour.

Ranney put it in blunt terms: "I do not think that we are now prepared for a second wave", she said. When asked by the local media, he said, "I had one on before".

Some current CDC officials claimed that they have been "muzzled" by the Trump administration as it pushes to reopen. "It's not right. So I'm correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential".

"People say that's a very distinct possibility".

"They knew exactly what the order was and if they permitted anyone, even the president of the United States, to defy that order, I think it has serious health consequences potentially to their workers", Nessel told CNN. He said if governors don't abide by his request, he will "override" them, though it's unclear what authority he has to do so.

Now while this may be simply viewed as President Trump maintaining his "strong" image before the press (Trump has been extremely averse to the wearing of face masks while in public), the state of MI was none too pleased with Trump not wearing a mask while he was at Ford's Ypsilanti factory.

In a statement Thursday afternoon, the Ford Motor Company added: "Bill Ford encouraged President Trump to wear a mask when he arrived".

Nessel responded to Trump's attack with two tweets of her own, accusing him of lying.

While Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has strongly advised everyone in the U.S. to make use of face masks to prevent falling victim to Covid-19, Trump and his supporters have claimed that since the U.S. president and his close circle of high-ranking officials are routinely tested, wearing a mask at all times is not necessary.

In a response to Trump's tweet, Nessel suggested Trump has a problem with all three women in leadership roles in MI, "as well as your ability to tell the truth".
