The second trailer of Christopher Nolan'sTenet is out, and it does not answer the questions that you may have asked after watching the first one.
In the trailer, John David Washington has acquired a power - to control time, look into the future and have the ability to stop destruction, but of course, with pathblocks.
An exchange between the so-called Protagonist and the woman played by Clémence Poésy (she doesn't have a name as of yet either - go figure!) hints at the stakes: He is attempting to prevent a third World War alleged to be even worse than the Biblical Armageddon.
Nolan, who wrote and directed the film, has called Tenet his greatest undertaking, with the budget somewhere in the $200 million range, making it one of the most expensive original films ever made. But the story of "inversion" and "reversing the flow of time" isn't discussed much and it seems like that is going to be the key to it all.
Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh will be seen in pivotal roles in Tenet. It's set to be Nolan's most time-packed movie yet, entertaining ideas like What if time went backwards and forwards at the same time? or What if we did a auto chase, but backwards?
The trailer ends with Nolan announcing that he is bringing the movie to the theatres. "We're crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way".
"The Dark Knight" trilogy and "Inception" director's next film, due to release in July, unveiled a new trailer Thursday evening.
