‘California should let Tesla and Elon Musk open plants’ tweets Trump

'Matrix' Creator Lilly Wachowski Calls Out Ivanka Trump & Elon Musk For 'Red Pill' Tweets

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Sunday tweeted to his 34 million followers to "take the red pill", leading some followers, including Ivanka Trump, to cheer the tech billionaire for pushing for the conservative cause.

And to make matters worse, if having your mother-in-law blast you on the internet isn't bad enough, Grimes herself even gave the tweets a like in support of her mum.

Musk has been at odds with the state of California about reopening his Tesla plants there, calling stay-at-home orders "facist" (sic) and threatening to move his company's headquarters to another state.

Elon Musk had tweeted "Take the red pill", which was a reference to one pill among two that was offered to Keanu Reeves' Neo by Laurence Fishburne's Morpheus in The Matrix (1999). As of writing it now has over 96,000 retweets and over 482,000 likes.

One area of the far-right anti-feminist movement, incels, have come up with their own twisted expression: "the black pill", which refers to avoiding women altogether and sets itself apart from the "red pill" ideology that Return of Kings promoted before it went on hiatus in 2018.

Less than an hour later, Wachowski responded.

"The Matrix 4", meanwhile, is planning to resume production in July after filming was forced to stop due to the pandemic, and filming is expected to take two additional months to complete. The Wachowskis collaborated on the original films together. It is expected to release May 21, 2021.

Matrix co-creator Lilly Wachowski cited Chicago LGBTQ organization Brave Space Alliance in a tweet, Variety noted. "In addition, Trump has also implemented a ban on transgender people serving openly in the military".
