Samsung is bringing Galaxy S20 features to the S10 and Note 10

Samsung 45W Charger Deal

The One UI 2.1 update comes with the yet-to-be-released April security patch and will be available to all eligible devices in the coming weeks.

An improved Night Mode is coming to the S10, while Night Hyperlapse for night videos will make its way to both S10 and Note 10 devices.

The Galaxy S20 phones may be Samsung's new flagships, but since the company continues selling the S10 line alongside it, it keeps doing a stellar job at providing software updates: The Korean manufacturer is beginning to roll out a big update to last year's series, giving it a ton of One UI 2.1 features from the Galaxy S20, most notably in the photography department. These features mainly focus on camera improvements including features like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, and others. Using AI, Single Take captures a number of video clips and images at once, and shows you which shot the phone thinks is best.

Custom Filter, which allows users to create their own filter with colours and styles that they like, will be added as well on both the Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy Note 10 series. This includes Clean View mode, which groups similar shots together for a more organized-looking gallery, as well as Quick Crop mode for easy editing.

You can now share more content quickly. Finally, the update will include the Music Share feature, which allows a friend to connect to the same speaker a user is connected to via Bluetooth even if they don't unlink their device.

Months ago, I wrote how Galaxy Fold owners would love to see new software features that take advantage of the foldable form factor, even if these features turn out to be experimental.

This software update brings select Galaxy S20 photo and video experiences to the Galaxy S10 and Note10 series.

The OneUI 2.1 update is now rolling out in Germany and should arrive everywhere else in short order. Check your phone's settings to see if you already you already have access to the update.
