Until now, there was little confirmation about what that could look like. This documentary is said to benefit Elephants Without Borders, a foundation close to both Meghan and Prince Harry's hearts.
The revelations come after Disney pushed forward with the release of a documentary to help Elephants Without Borders, for which Meghan provided the voiceover.
The film follows an elephant family on a 1,000-mile journey across the Kalahari Desert.
A source quoted in various reports says: "If anyone can get Meghan back on a film set, it's Tom Cruise".
Harry told them: "Next time, if anyone needs any extra voiceover work, we can make ourselves available".
Meghan and Harry made their final appearance as senior royals at a the Commonwealth Service at London's Westminster Abbey on March 9.
Since late a year ago they have been based on Vancouver Island, and will officially end royal duties on March 31.
Speaking with Us Weekly, the insider revealed that their decision to move away from the constant scrutiny they were subjected to in the United Kingdom has given Meghan a chance to reset and she is thrilled. The challenges they face include brutal heat, dwindling resources and threats from predators.
