The Tamil Nadu Government has converted four medical facilities in the state as quarantine centres for treating patients infected with Covid-19, SARS, avian flu or swine flu.
A 90-year-old man with underlying illnesses who tested positive for Covid-19 died from pneumonia at Son Espases Hospital, a 75 year patient with previous respiratory problems died in Son Llàtzer hospital and another 75 year old patient passed away in Manacor Hospital. "He has a medical history of prolonged illness with steroid dependent COPD, uncontrolled diabetes with hypertension", he said.
The list of contacts who the dead person might have come into contact has been prepared with the help of family members while his wife and son have been isolated.

While District Collectors would be fully responsible for the implementation and distribution of the cash support to all rice cardholders well in advance, the Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department would be responsible for its implementation as well as for Chennai district.
